Erdut is a border crossing over the Danube between Croatia and Serbia, on the Osijek–Sombor route, on Serbian state road IB-17. The Serbian side of the crossing is Bogojevo, connected to Erdut by the Erdut II bridge. Since 11 March 2025, a temporary weight limit has applied here: vehicles over 7.5 tonnes are not allowed to cross, because of the poor condition of the bridge — a restriction that is set to run until the end of 2026. Freight traffic that would normally use this route is being redirected to the Batrovci crossing further west, the Batina/Bezdan bridge, or the Ilok–Bačka Palanka bridge (which itself has a 24-tonne limit). Passenger cars and lighter vehicles are unaffected and can still cross normally. Check current signage before planning a truck route through here, since the restriction's end date could change. Outside of the freight limit, Erdut/Bogojevo functions as a regular Danube crossing linking Osijek in Croatia with Sombor in Serbia. Erdut is also known for its vineyards and the Erdutski Vinogradi winery, one of the oldest in Croatia, so the crossing also sees visitors heading to wine cellars on both sides of the border.
