Vinjani Donji is a border crossing between Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina near Imotski, on the route toward Grude. The Bosnian side of the crossing is called Gorica. It operates 24 hours a day and takes both passenger and freight/commercial traffic, which makes it one of the busier crossings on this stretch of the Croatia–Bosnia border. Since Croatia joined the Schengen Area in January 2023, this is a full external Schengen border on the Croatian side — passport and customs checks apply to everyone entering the EU, since Bosnia and Herzegovina is outside both the EU and Schengen. Not far away, further north toward Imotski, is the Vinjani Gornji crossing, similarly named but on a different route — toward Posušje rather than Grude — so drivers sometimes mix the two up. Grude on the Bosnian side and the Imotski valley on the Croatian side form one natural region split only by the border, so this crossing is used regularly by local residents from both sides, not just by through traffic.
