About the crossing

Deleuša is a border crossing between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro on the Bileća–Nikšić road. The Montenegrin side of the crossing is Vraćenovići. It opened on 20 October 2020 as the first joint, one-stop border crossing between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro — border and customs staff from both countries work at the same location, so travelers stop and get checked only once instead of at two separate checkpoints. The facility covers about 9,000 m² and has three entry and three exit lanes, plus a dedicated freight lane. This model — a single stop instead of duplicate checks on each side of the border — was later applied at the Zupci/Sitnica crossing, opened in 2025, while Klobuk/Ilino Brdo and Hum/Šćepan Polje are planned to become the third and fourth such crossings. Deleuša/Vraćenovići connects Bileća in Bosnia and Herzegovina with Nikšić in Montenegro, two larger towns in Herzegovina and Montenegro, and today carries both passenger and freight traffic between them.
