Sremska Rača is a border crossing between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, on a bridge over the Sava river. It serves as an alternative for travelers heading to Bijeljina and Tuzla, rather than driving on to the larger crossings further along the Drina. It sits in Srem, opposite Semberija — the flat region around Bijeljina on the Bosnian side of the Sava. Neither Serbia nor Bosnia and Herzegovina is part of the European Union or the Schengen area, so this crossing, like every other one between the two countries, involves standard border and customs control in both directions.
